ISO 14000

ISO 14000 is a family of standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that provides a common framework for organizations to manage their environmental performance effectively. This series offers principles, tools, and guidelines aimed at:

  • Reducing the environmental impact of business activities.
  • Complying with current environmental regulations.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in sustainability.

The ISO 14000 series covers aspects such as environmental planning, risk assessment, life cycle analysis, environmental communication, and audits. Adoption is voluntary, but many companies implement it to structure their environmental management, access new markets, and enhance their corporate reputation.
